What a lovely two days at 9,650 ft in a meadow setting with a bird-filled bush at 7:00 in the morning just when the light was perfect! Is life good or what.
This is my favorite capture, a Townsend's Warbler. I don't see one very often, although avid birders would say they are a frequent Colorado visitor, stopping by on their way south to warmer climes in the fall, and moving through again to breed further north in the spring. At any rate, it was thrilling to have it land on a flower stem just 12 feet away from me as I was photographing birds in the bush.
Stay tuned for more birds tomorrow..mostly younguns.
